"Behold, when we come into the land, you shall bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which you did let us down by: and you shall bring your father, and your mother, and your brothers, and all your father's household, home to you." Joshua 2:18 (AMP)

Rahab received a plan on how to get her family saved and she sprang into action. She didn't sit around complaining about who, what, when, and where. She didn't revisit all the things that she felt had been done wrong to her. Rahab understood that time was of the essence, and she didn't want to waste it. Rahab was a harlot, and undoubtedly she bore the brunt of being the subject of all too many family gossip sessions over her lifestyle. Who knows what wounds she had to let God mend, or what sneers and snide remarks she had to set aside, even as she lead her family to safety. Too many of us waste precious moments in unforgiveness, bitterness, jealousy, and strife over things that did or did not happen to us in our family. God is leading the saints to bring our families home to us, and like Rahab, we should feel a sense of urgency because the enemy is always waiting with a plan of destruction.
