A Devoted Disciple

Written by KCC Devotion Team  |  Found in: Discipleship

“Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.” John 12:26 (NIV)

Some people may be confused about what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. Being a disciple of Jesus means that you not only follow His teachings, but you are wholeheartedly devoted to Him. Many people attend church regularly, but they haven’t given all of themselves to Christ. To be a disciple, we must continue to learn to be more like Jesus. When people see our actions and hear us speak, they should automatically recognize that we are Christians. Our witnessing should convince people to also become disciples of Jesus and spread His Word throughout the land just as Jesus sent his apostles to preach the gospel around the world. I encourage everyone reading this to devote their minds, bodies, and souls to Jesus. In doing this, we can truly become disciples of Jesus, and He will continue to bless us for bringing more souls to the Kingdom.
