Caring at Work

Written by KCC Devotion Team  |  Found in: Caring for Others

“Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.” Philippians 2:4

We may hear friends, family members, or coworkers say things like, “Worry about yourself” or “I don’t care about what other people have going on.” However, as Christians, we should care about the well-being of others. If God had a “self” mentality, He would have never sent Jesus to die for our sins, and we definitely wouldn’t continue to receive His grace and mercy. I encourage everyone reading this to offer assistance to someone at work this week. This assistance doesn't have to be monetary. It could be offering someone a kind word, being a listening ear, assisting them with a difficult task, or inviting them to visit our church. That act of kindness may be just what that person needs to realize God hasn’t left them and that the world still contains people who are truly God-fearing and kind.
