Empowered Friendships

“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Proverbs 27:17

Father, thank You for relationships that honor and glorify You. We praise You for our circle of friends. We seek friendships that are empowering and mutually beneficial. We pray that You will get the glory out of our relationships. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide and receive love and support through the avenue of friendship. The Bible says that as iron sharpens iron, friends sharpen one another and help them to develop. You also said if I want to have friends, I must show myself friendly. I, therefore, will make myself available, accountable, trusting, protective, and a safe place to be honest. Thank You for being our example of sacrificial love. We will offer the same kind of love to one another. In Jesus’ name, Amen. (Proverbs 27:17; John 13:35, 15:15; 2 Corinthians 6:14 MSG)
