Guided by the Light of Truth
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” Luke 4:18-19 (New International Version)
How long will we continue to hide from the leadings of the Holy Spirit? There is more that He requires from us. We can no longer enter into another year, year after year, thinking that “something told us to do it” or feel like what we are doing is of our own accord. It has been some time and God has sent confirmation after confirmation; when then will we trust that He has anointed us for ministry? Everyone doesn’t have to start a new church or be a pastor; how about we do what God has anointed us to do as individuals or as a collective body. Being guided by the Light of Truth, the Holy Spirit is saying that it is time to arise and do what He has anointed us to do. How long must we cry out, people of God, not realizing that the gift He has placed within us is crying back “let me out and do the will of God?” As believers, trust the anointing within, as it is the Holy Spirit at work in us.
