Guided by the Light of Truth

Written by KCC Devotion Team  |  Found in: Guided by the Light of Truth

“For we, [not relying on the Law but] through the [Holy] Spirit’s [help], by faith anticipate and wait for the blessing and good for which our righteousness and right standing with God [our conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action, causes us] to hope.” Galatians 5:5 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)

God doesn’t repay or reward according to the laws of man. After performing work at our jobs, we expect to be paid for the hours or salary in which we worked or earned. We also go about doing good deeds, thinking that because we are doing great that others will reciprocate the same; however, because we are children of the light, we do not have expectations as the world. We do and carry on because of the Spirit in which we are connected. Knowing that we are not like the world, we cannot expect God to be like people when He decides to bless. We are empowered by the Holy Spirit who enables us to wait and anticipate when God will bless. We know He is good for coming through. He is an on time God anyhow, so whenever He decides to bless us, we by faith anticipate and wait for the blessing and the good for which our righteousness and right standing with God will award to us. We can continue to carry on in good character doing the will of God knowing that as long as we are being guided by the light of truth, He will come through.
