Here Comes a Trial

Written by KCC Devotion Team  |  Found in: Empowered

“For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promises.” Hebrews 10:36

Life has many uncertainties, and since we can’t control every element of what happens in our lives, we must mentally and spiritually prepare ourselves for these challenges. As a believer, we can’t be knocked off course every time a trial arises. We must learn to maintain our direction, even when we can’t control the details of our life. We can take on the mind of a victim and confront our challenges in the spirit of fear, allow our circumstances to uproot us from our place in God, and leave us spiritually and personally in shambles. Or we can choose to take on the mind of a victor and face life challenges with faith in the Word of God and wait patiently for the promise to manifest. Jesus Christ is a wonderful example on how a Christian should go through a trial in faith. While He was hanging on the cross, right in the midst of the trial of His life, He prayed for others, handled personal family business, quoted scripture and continued to walk in forgiveness and love. The way Jesus handled His trial ministered to those around Him and caused others to triumph.  Like Jesus, as victorious believers, we must allow our trials to be used as tools in the hands of a sovereign God, so that others may triumph, and God will get the glory.
