Honorable Representation

Written by KCC Devotion Team  |  Found in: Witnessing

"Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God." 2 Corinthians 5:20 (NKJV)

Being a witness for Christ both fulfills and honors our identity as Christians. We are called to be ambassadors - those who represent Christ and live a Christian life. We are to walk in His name, walk in His authority, represent His character, and uphold His reputation. Christ is our identity and what we say and do unto others represents His identity. We must always be careful in the things that we say or do whether we are alone or among others because we are always seen by God and often watched by people. We must be careful that all of our words and our deeds are honorable and pleasing. Our conversation and how we respond to others should line up with who Jesus is. We want to make Him proud to have us represent Him in our communities, on our jobs, within our families, and to our enemies that they might see God's genuine love in action.
