“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 (ESV)

A familiar spiritual hymn testifies of once being lost but now being found, and once being blind but now being able to see.  This is the state of all people before accepting the gift of salvation.  Being lost brings on despair and hopelessness, a feeling of instability and being tossed around like a lifeboat in the ocean.  It may even remind us of driving and taking a wrong turn or of being on the interstate and getting off on the wrong exit.  It can be scary not knowing what's ahead or knowing your current location, and we can only find our way back by getting help from someone or something.  Those that are not saved are lost and need our help to direct them to the salvation only Jesus can give.  How sad to be lost and not be able to find our way, but oh what an awesome experience when we are found.
