Sharing Wise Principles

Written by KCC Devotion Team  |  Found in: Family

"Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." Ephesians 6:4 (ESV)

Even if we do not have children or if our children are already grown, God still wants our attention because children are a part of our future. How others raise their children will affect us in our community, at church, and even within our own homes. We must all join as a village and teach children the discipline and instruction of the Lord. We can be effective if we use both scripture and experience as our teachers for child rearing. When we share wise principles with others in a loving and kind way, it helps equip them as they assume the parenting role. Psychology is good and has its place in our society, but it is not an adequate replacement for Biblical concepts. God’s Word is the principal resource on how to raise our children while all other things serve as supportive resources.
