Sharpening Each Other

Written by KCC Devotion Team  |  Found in: Teamwork

"Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Proverbs 27:17

No two people are alike. Together we can make each other better people...or worse. Surrounding ourselves with people who are positive allows us to feed off of their positive energy. But when we surround ourselves with people who are always getting into trouble, we start to act like them. Therefore, when we hang around good company, we are being sharpened by them and whether we realize it or not, we are sharpening them at the same time. Friends are supposed to work together and make sure each other’s backs are covered. As a Christian, if we hang around people who cuss all of the time and do things that are not Christ like can tempt us to do the same type of things they are doing. As Christians, we should help each other out when we notice that others are not on their best behavior.
