To Witness is to Care

Written by KCC Devotion Team  |  Found in: Caring for Others

"so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11 (NIV)

As Christians, we are taught to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone. No matter how bad a person can appear on the outside or what he or she may have done in the past, everyone should be given an opportunity to come to Christ. The reason that the Lord has appointment believers to spread His Word and to witness is to illustrate His unconditional love and long suffering. By demonstrating God’s unfailing love and patience, it gives others an opportunity to see the Lord’s way of reassuring him or her that He cares. The Lord has appointed Christians to be a witness to His people not only to lead them to Christ but to show His people that He truly wants them to be free. Isn’t it awesome to know that we are able to witness to people who are hurting and lost? When we witness to others, we should always remember that God is the only person who can solve other’s problems.
