Town Council

Written by KCC Devotion Team  |  Found in: Community Service

"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith." Galatians 6:9-10

We can all relate to being frustrated about things occurring in our communities such as low-performing schools, a lack of resources for the elderly and the poor, and a host of other issues. We can handle this frustration the wrong way by complaining and becoming bitter. Or we can handle it the way God would want us to, by donating our time and resources in order to facilitate the change we want to see. The problems we encounter affect us all, even if we can’t see the negative effect on our own lives. I encourage everyone to attend their town council meetings and offer solutions that can help all citizens. We should never get tired of advocating for change in our communities. The change we begin can be the change our children can continue and benefit from in the future.
