Victim or Victor?

Written by KCC Devotion Team  |  Found in: Empowered

“And he said, So is the kingdom of God , as if a man should cast seed into the ground;  And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how” Mark 4:26-27

In life, we can allow our test and trials to box us into victim mentality, or we can apply our faith and let those same circumstances develop us into a victor, whose life and testimony attest to the glory of our God. As children of promise, we must possess an anchoring assurance that God is going to bring us out of every situation. Our perspective of God should not be limited to our life experiences, but has to be birthed out of our belief in the infallibility of His Word. We must stand on God’s promises come what may. This may sound radical, but we are going to come out of trouble to the degree that we are willing to apply our faith. Romans 5:2 lets us know that our faith gives us access to grace. Grace has made victorious living available, now my faith will make grace mine.  We can apply our faith over any and all circumstances, whether tangible or intangible.  Believe him for peace, believe him for healing, believe him for restoration, for that home, that car, whatever it is that you lack in your life, you have access through grace, but by faith.  Righteous man or woman you may being going through a trial right now but Psalms 34:19 promises that “the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” Remember there are always two truths -- what circumstances say and then what God says. As Christians, we must choose to believe what God says because our circumstances are only temporary.
