Although we are not having gatherings at the physical church building, the church is OPEN! We have been doing ministry in ways that we never dreamt of because of your support, and your involvement. We have not made a decision on the safest way to reopen our facilities for worship encounters. We want you to know that your spiritual and physical health are our highest priorities. We will continue to have our encounters online and quality online content for our children and teens.
As a church we are proactive – we aren’t waiting for things to happen – we are making them happen. We have been in discussion all year considering how to bring us back together face to face in the best way possible while following the spiritual direction of our leaders as well as the practical and medical direction from local and national health advisors. Please see the chart below for our proposed reopening phases.
We currently are in Phase 1.
We are having prerecorded virtual worship encounters on Saturdays (these are not open to the public). Attendance is based on serving in a ministry that is required to produce the worship encounter. We stream online at 9 am & 12 pm on all of our streaming platforms (Facebook, Youtube, Kccfamily website, and the KCC App).
The current phase is listed above – once we have approval from our pastors and local & national health officials we will proceed into Phase 1
Phase 1 will have prerecorded virtual worship encounters on Saturdays (these are by invitation only). We will have targeted invitations to different ministry demographics. These targeted invitations will be up to 50 people – social distancing, masks, and temperature checks will be strictly enforced.
We will stream online at 9 am & 12 pm on all of our streaming platforms (Facebook, Youtube, Kccfamily website, and the KCC App).
We will proceed into Phase 2 – once we have approval from our pastors and local & national health officials.
Phase 2 will have live virtual worship encounters on Sundays (Registration is required). We will open registration – this helps to ensure registration and COVID safety screening can be done before arrival at the building. Attendance will be 75-100 people with households sitting together, up to 8 per household, on even and odd rows (every other row); Children middle school (6-8th grade) and up are allowed (for safety precautions). Social distancing, masks, and temperature checks will be strictly enforced.
We will stream online at 9 am & 12 pm on all of our streaming platforms (Facebook, Youtube, Kccfamily website, and the KCC App).
We will proceed into Phase 3 – once we have approval from our pastors and local & national health officials.
Phase 2-3 will have live virtual worship encounters on Sundays (Registration is required). We will open registration – this helps to ensure registration and COVID safety screening can be done before arrival at the building. Proof of registration is required. Attendance will be 101-320 people, households sit together and all children are welcome. Social distancing, masks, and temperature checks will be strictly enforced.
We will stream online at 9 am & 12 pm on all of our streaming platforms (Facebook, Youtube, Kccfamily website, and the KCC App).
We will proceed into Phase 4 – once we have approval from our pastors and local & national health officials. This phase is a return to our pre-covid normal.
Phase 4 will have 2 live in-person & virtual worship encounters on Sundays – Registration is not required.
All members and guests are welcome to come.
We will stream online at 9 am & 12 pm on all of our streaming platforms (Facebook, Youtube, Kccfamily website, and the KCC App).
Want to make sure you never miss an event? Stay up to date with all of the events through Koinonia App and Website. Although we have community-wide events on Facebook and Social Media – the church and website are the go-to places for all things events at Koinonia.
Let’s start the year off right! We will have Bible Study each week in January at 12 noon and 7 pm. We are asking that members are intentional about watching one of the services for Bible study. These will be streamed live on FB and Youtube.
Continuing after the month of January we will take the first half of the year to have Bible study every 2nd and 4th Wednesday. Life App will resume next semester with classes from August to December.
We want to take engagement to the next level. We will continue to have our encounters online and quality online content for our children and teens. One way we plan to do this is through the New KidMin and StudentMin apps available in the app stores today!
