The deadline to register to vote is Friday, October 9, 2020.  If you miss it, you can still register in person and vote during the One Stop/Early Voting period from October 15, 2020 through October 31, 2020.

Vote Early at One Stop/Early Voting

  • Early Voting sites are open from Thursday, October 15 to Saturday, October 31, 2020.  Find early voting sites and schedules in your county with the One-Stop Early Voting Site Search.

Vote In Person on Election Day, November 3, 2020 

  •  Polls open from 6:30 am – 7:30 pm 
  • On Election Day, you must cast your ballot at your assigned polling place. Find it here. https://vt.ncsbe.gov/PPLkup/ 
  • No ID required, except first time voters.  


Vote By Mail 

Don’t wait! Request your Absentee Ballot Request form by fax, email, mail or delivery by the voter, voter’s near relative or verifiable legal guardian by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October 27, 2020  

  • Request and return ballot in person if possible to avoid mail delays 
  • Postmark by November 3, 2020, if ballot returned by mail 
  • Make sure you and a witness sign your ballot. Witness must provide address.
