KOINONIA CONNECT

EChurch Campus
Connecting from Around the Globe

A New Campus Based on Community and Engagement

Koinonia means authentic fellowship. At Koinonia, we value people and believe that everybody matters. Service to our Community, love to our neighbor, and worship to our God are our priorities. As we have been serving our communities and loving our neighbors, our communities have grown – hence new church campuses! As our family is becoming a global family, we have created a new way to experience God and experience doing life called Koinonia Connect. These Koinonia Connects are INTERACTIVE church encounters focused on connecting with people, growth through Community, and pursuing Christ.

Koinonia Connect Campus Rules

Bring Your Face to the Place

Please use your web camera. Be sure it is in a stable position and focused at eye level, if possible.

Update Your Name

Please update your name in the Zoom for attendance. We love to be able to callout members of our connects by name.

Dress Appropriately
We want to have the same sense of reverence for virtual encounters that we do for the physical church encounters – so dress accordingly.
Do A Zoom Trial Run!

Make sure you do a test run at some point and be aware of your audio and video settings before you start. Zoom, for instance, has a feature that lets you test your settings before your meetings begin: just go to zoom.us/test.

Stage Your Video and Lighting

Keep in mind that people don’t just see you; they also see whatever the camera is pointed at behind you. Video quality is dramatically affected by lighting.

Mute your Microphone
To help keep background noise to a minimum, make sure you mute your microphone when you are not speaking.
Be Mindful of Background Noise
When your microphone is not muted, avoid activities that could create additional noise, such as shuffling papers.
Limit Distractions
You can make it easier to focus on the service by turning off notifications, closing or minimizing running apps, and muting your smartphone.
Avoid Multitasking
Avoid eating, answering emails, cooking, watching tv, etc. Let’s take this time to focus on the connection and our community.
Refrain from Private Behavior
Refrain from scratching your armpits, picking your nose, getting dressed, etc… We can see you! Come ready and prepared to worship and interact.
